About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

After I'm been a US citien in 2007, I lost my chinese passport(I remenber my Chinese passpart was expired on 2008). I just read "how to get your China vise" and know I still need my China passpart to get visa. Can I get a china tourist visa without China passport? This will be my first time back home after I'm been a US citien. Can you tell me what kind of documents I need bring with me when I make vise application? I had bought airline tichket and I really don't know if I can get my China vise or not. Please give me some idea. Thank you very much.

Mrs.Wendy, yes, First time applicants whose former nationality was Chinese, shall write down his Chinese name in the application form and submit his original Chinese passport or the photocopy of the information page of the passport. Your Chinese passport is lost, do you keep the photocopy of the information page of your Chinese passport?

The other requirements you need are:
1.A valid passport as well as a copy of its information page: Your valid passport must have at least six (6) months of remaining validity and at least one blank visa page in it.
2.Application form: One completed Visa Application Form.
3.Photo: one recent photo of 2x2 square inch (black & white or color is acceptable) glued or stapled on the application form.
