About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

Hi,
I'm planning to go to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center on Monday and have an appointment mid morning, I plan to meet up with a friend some time later that day. Its a simple 6 month tourist visa so how long will it take to go through the center. I.e. will there be a long queue? How long does it take on average? I basically want to know what time i can expect to meet up with my friend.
Thanks for any help!

Generally speaking, there are many applicants after holidays, when you submit visa application to the Chinese visa application service center (CVASC), then it will be submitted to the Chinese embassy in London by the CVASC, it will takes about 5 working days, the office hours of CVASC is Visa application: 9:00-15:00 Payment and collection 9:00-16:00, so I think you can see your friend after 16:00
