About:Dual Nationality

Hello,

My mother in law is a chinese citizen (both her parents are chinese but she was born here in the Philippines) She had a Chinese Passport before, but was stolen a few years ago. She'd like to get a new passport, but it seems that the Chinese Embassy here in Manila informs her that it's very hard to get a passport if your old one was lost.

What should we do to get her a passport? Does anyone have an idea how to go on about it? The Chinese Embassy website doesn't have any information with this type of situation.

Help!

Mr.Chris,

Does she have a copy of her former passport? If not, there would be little chance that she could get a new one.
