About:Embassy & Consulates of Canada in China

We are planning to travel to Beijing between the 11Feb and 16Feb. But are worried about the Holiday. Will attractions and shopping areas still be open? and what events/ festivites will take place during that time? Thank you!

Don’t worry, Smith. The tourist attractions and big shopping malls will be open during that time. Some small shopping areas might be closed because they also go back to spend their holidays too. Since Chinese Lunar New Year is coming, some celebrations will be held as usual. You can go to some temple fairs during the holiday.

It is the Sping Festival in China. Attractions and shopping malls in Beijing will be opened normally. Enjoy yourselves.
