About:Chinese Names

We adopted my daughter in China and recently were able to obtain a copy of the note which was left with her at the orphanage.
The name her birth family gave her was "Mao Mao". Can you tell me the meaning of this name? I cant find the character online...part of it looks like the character for "hair" but there is another figure in front of it. Thank you so much for any insight you can give me.

Maomao is her nickname or childhood name. It should be 毛毛(momo). You are right. It is hair in English.
