I'm travelling with a friend next week. We of us be travelling from Beijing to Tianjin to visit a friend. After that, the two of us will need to take an overnight train on Saturday night, down to Shanghai.

Our main priorities are cleanliness, privacy, comfort and safety. What would be the best train option(s) for us? Should we take the D341 directly from Tianjin? or is it better to go back to Beijing and take another overnight train (example T109 or D301/305 etc.) to Shanghai from there? Thank you.
