About:Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles

Hi, I am planning to go down to the Consulate to apply for visas for my family. The consulate website and automated phone system give contradicting information regarding payment. The phone system says that I can pay by Visa or Mastercard, but the website says cash, money or bank check. I tried to email the visa office using the above email address, but the email got bounced. Does anyone know if they do in fact accept Mastercard or Visa?

As I know, Chinese embassy in Washington accepts Visa Card and Master Card, so I think the consulate of China in Los Angeles will also accept it .
