About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

hi, i'm a UK citizen, living in japan, but leaving to travel southern asia. i'm going to china via boat from south korea, and leaving through hong kong. so, i wont have any airplane tickets in or out of the country. how do i prove im leaving china then, and do i need to?

any help much appreciated. thank you!

there is no other option, if the embassy asks for the two-way air ticket, you have to provide it, otherwise, you can't get the Chinese visa.
