It is called the largest graveyard in the world because thousands of people died while building it. All the people who died { believe me there were quiet a lot} were buried inside the wall and the construction kept going.

It's called the largest graveyard because over a million people worked to build it and 1/4 of those people died while working so they were all buried into the wall.

It is called that because many people died and were buried near the wall. However, there is no evidence that people were actually buried within the wall, that is just a myth.
