About:Embassy & Consulates of Singapore in China

If there has been a change in China's policy in issuing visa to aliens (in singapore), they should at least be very professional about it. The "officers" there would only shake their head and say or yell words like "no", "impossible", "go back philippines".
When I asked them why, they only said "No Reason". When I asked when the 'new' policy started, they said "Today". 'Today' was also the answer given to a colleague who applied on a different date. I've been staying in Singapore for years now and that was the first time I felt discriminated and degraded here.

China, this is your policy and we can't do anything about it. But the least you can do is be very civil and professional about it. I've just sent a letter to our own embassy and Dep't. of Foreign Affairs to ask that they once again require Chinese citizens to acquire visa before entering the Philippines. This may not lead to anything but who knows? I'm sure I am not the only Filipino here who had such humiliating experience at their embassy.

China embassy has the right to reject any visa applications according to the Chinese policy. I'm afraid you can try the China embassy in Philippines.

I have encountered the same humiliation like you, Ms. Gabriela Silang, when I went to China Embassy in Hongkong to get a visa for my 15 days holidays that I supposed to spend in Guangzhou, China. With my roundtrip ticket to china, I present my documents just tpo be told rudely that I can not get visa, that I must go back to the Philippines to acquire it. What a rude, unprofessional response for us Filipinos who really welcome all the chinese people who live, tour or find life in our country. When I asked for the explaination why I can not get visa and told the consulate that I have already my roundtrip ticket, she just said " I can't give you and if you don't go away I will call the police!" I was treated as if a criminal there just because I was confused about the new policy that has never been stated in the china embassy website when I researched for the requirements. I guess, our government must take action with this discrimination that China has waged to us Filipinos. I must say how rude and unethical is the china embassy people there who treated me like a dog and its fucking new policy exclusively for us Filipinos!
