About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

My husband and I are planning a world trip and China features towards the middle of the journey. If we get a double entry visa from Brisbane before we leave do we have six months to arrive in China? I am a bit confused - in some places it says six months but in other places it suggests you still need to arrive within three months? Also, we want to spend about 45 days in rural China - is it possible to apply for a 60 day visa up front or do we have to get it extended while in China? We're not planning to go to the big cities so I am worried about how to extend the visa. Thanks!

A double entry China visa is only valid for 3 months.
The duration for a double entry china visa is 30 days for each entry, you can exit china to Hk for a day or even several hour and then enter China for the left 15 days, no extension is needed.
