About:Guangzhou Railway Station

Hi,
I'd like to go to GuangZhou from KL, Malaysia.
What are better options?
1. Direct flight from KL to Malaysia or
2. Direct flight from KL to HK, and then train/bus to Guangzhou?

I plan to bring two elderly parents > 60 yrs old, to Foshan to visit ancestral homes.
Would appreciate any advice at all.

Well, it is suggested that you take the flight to HK firstly. And, at Hong Kong Airport, you could catch a direct bus to Guangzhou downtown area easily. No need to do anymore transfer at Singapore.
