The government has removed the embargo on tourism. So, more people are planning their trips there. Generally speaking, April to October is the favorable time to visit, July to August is the best. South Tibet is warmer and grassland in northern Tibet will turn green in middle or late April. If you do not jion a tour group, do take with you your visa and letter of approval signed by Tibet tourism administration. Good luck!
