About:Chinese Consulate in Brisbane

My husband has booked us a holiday for 8 days in hong Kong .We have just realised my passport which is Irish has expired . I have applied for a new one ,but it won't be ready in time. The Irish embassy is issuing me with a temperory passport in time for our trip.
will there be any problems entering Hong Kong on a tomperory passport .Our travel agent has checked and says it will be fine.

I think there will be no problem, but Irish passport holders need to apply for a visa to Hk. I'm not sure whether the visa ofice could accept it.
