3. I think I can reach Shenzhen by taxi, or train is cheaper? How many hours will it take to reach Shenzhen? How much is the fare? How much does medium hotel cost in Guangzhou?

4. How can I reach Taiwan? Do I need extra Visa for entering Taiwan? How much does it cost to reach Taiwan?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi, so many questions
1, I the fastese train from beijing to shanghai is the D-trains. It takes anbout 10 hours to reach shanghai. Train D 31 starts from Beijing south railway station and the departure time is 11:05 am. There are still five runs starting from beijing railway staiton and the departure is all around 21:30. The price is 542 yuan for the first class and 452 yuan for the second class.
2, The fastest trains from shanghai to guangzhou are the train T99 or T99B. Both departure at 18:24 and the duration is about 16 hours. The fare for hard sleeper is about 370 yuan, for soft sleeper is about 560 yuan.
3, Train is always cheaper than taxi. I advise you to take a taxi from guangzhou to shenzhen. There are many D-trains either starting from guangzhou railway station or guangzhou east railway station. The fare is 85 yuan for the first class and 75 yuan for the second class.

Hi, me again. The last question: You might need to take a bus or ferry to Hong Kong first. And then there are flights from Hong Kong to Taiwan. You need an extra visa for enter taiwan, which can be applied in Hong Kong. As for the cost, i am not clear. Sorry for that.
By the way, for the hotel questions you raised, i sugggest you to look the hotel page of this site. It gives a list of good hotels from the expensive one
