About:Beijing South Railway Station

is the subway 4 start operating, from my info it is in the month of september 2009, by the way, how to go to novotel xin qiao from beijing south railway station? i'm visiting beijing in the month of january 2009, it must be pretty cool. Please advise.

It is said that the Line 4 will be put into use at the end of this month. So, you could use it in Jan, 2010. The Novotel is about 9 kms from Beijng South Railway Station. So, you could hire a taxi to drive you there directly, the fare is within 30RMB. For a budget method, you could take the bus 692 from the railway station and then get off at Chongwenmen Xi which the hotel is about 200 meters to the east of.
