About:Shanghai Metro

Do the subway trains operate 24 hours a day? My friends and I will be arriving at midnight at shanghai-pudong and we're thinking of taking subway line 2 (green) then get off at Jiangsu rd. What alternative public transpo can we take if subway lines are not available at that time of the day? Thanks!

Dear Luds,
The subway in Shanghai does not operate 24 hours. This website has a very clear introduction to the operating time of subway trains:

If you arrive at midnight, you can take the Night Shuttle of Pudng Airport to the downtown area, and get off at Huashan Road (Yan'an Road) Stop which is near your destination Jiangsu Road. Detailed info about Pudong Night shuttle is here on this page:

Wish you a nice trip:)
