Is there a Tourist Card a visitor can purchase for 1 week? 2 weeks? to ride the subway/metro in Beijing?

Yes, you can buy a card for a few days. You can give it back when you are leaving. This can be achieved in some big subway stations and you can get back your balance and deposit back.
