About:Xizhou Town

Hi all. I am an Indian student currently pursuing higher education in US. I intend to do an internship in China from January 2010. Regarding that what documents would I require to apply for a VISA from US and I stay in North Carolina so will the consular district situated there provide me with the VISA?

You should apply for F visa at China Embassy in Washington DC, the following documents are required for F visa application.
1. Passport: Your valid passport must have at least six (6) months of remaining validity and at least one blank visa page in it.
2.Application form: One completed Visa Application Form
3.Photo: one photo of 2x2 squre inch (black & white or color is acceptable) glued or stapled on the application form
4.invitation letters from the host organization in China
5. Your valid US Visa or other certificate of legitimate status in US

Thank you Mr.Nash. A chinese embassy is also situated in North Carolina so is it possible to apply there itself or I have to go to Washington?

Mr.Varit, North Carolina is under consular jurisdiction of China Embassy in Washington D.C., you should go to Washington DC to apply for China visa. Please see the consular districts of embassy and five consulates of China in USA on the website http://us.china-embassy.org/eng/hzqz/t84229.htm

Hi there I am in a slightly more complex situation. I'm a Taiwanese citizen that has graduated from a school in Indiana who has since moved from Indiana in July 2009 to North Carolina...Which consular office should I go to?

You should go to the Chinese embassy in Washington DC to apply for Travel Document of PRC to enter China because North Carolina is under its consular jurisdiction.
