About:Shenzhen Transportation

I'm flying into Hong Kong airport and have meetings in Longgang District Shenzhen. I've been advised to stay in hotels in Shenzhen city. I'm booked at the Holiday Inn Express in Luohu District Shenzhen. What are my options for:
a) getting from Hong Kong airport to the Holiday Inn Express hotel?
b) getting from the Holiday Inn Express hotel to the Longgang District for my meetings? Will a taxi be prohibitively expensive? I'm having trouble finding a map to know how far this drive will be.

1. from HK Airport to the hotle, please take the bus from HK Airport to Luohu District of Shenzhen directly, the fare is 150HK$ and takes 1 hour one the way. When you arrive at the terminal in Shenzhen, you could hire a cab to the hotel, very close, just costs about 15RMB>
2. from the hotel to Longgang. The two district of Luohu and Longgang are neighbors. So, the taxi fare is reasonable. You's better let me know where your meeting will be held.

Well, very close. If you go there on foot, just takes 20~30 minutes. So, the taxi fare is cheap, too! I think the fare should be within 20RMB.

Walk out of baggage claim veer slightly to the left and follow the signs for transport to the mainland. Cross over and down until you are in the bus terminal. Walk all the way down to the other end of the counters (opposite side as 7-11) until you are close to the end, look for the EE Bus (Eternal East) counter. By a ticket to the Rivan hotel in Longgang. You will take a mini van with a few other people, you will go across the boarder at a much easier crossing than Luohu, and you make 1 or 2 stops along the way, arriving at the Rivan hotel in about 2- 2.5 hours. The ticket cost about $35 USD.

Everone in business in the Longgang and Hizhou areas knows the Rivan and can pick you up in the lobby. There is a McDonnalds across the street. If you choose to stay, you can get a roon for $55 UDS. They have a good dinner buffet and over 100 karoke rooms with rumors of 1,000 attendents.

You can save money and take a 45 minute bus ride to the train, take the train to Louohu boarder crossing (which takes at least an hour) then take the blue line train out to Longgang, then get a 30 RMB taxi to the Rivan- total cost $12 USD, but is a hassle and will take 5-6 hours.
