About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

I have a student visa valid for one entry and will be traveling to Shanghai. Before I start my classes I am planning on traveling to Tokyo and Singapore. My visa is valid for only one entry, which will be used upon my first entry into Shanghai. What shall I do to get back into Shanghai after Singapore? Do I need to get another visa or do I get a permit??
