About:Beijing Transportation

1st time to Beijing-free & easy-arriving Tangjin(TSN) in Sept., any direct bus/coach from the airport to Beijing, if yes, is ticket available at counter inside the airport itself? Second option, to take Bullet Train, am I right that Tianjin Railway Station to Beijing Railway Station(not east/south/west/north) are the correct stations as I intend to stay in area near Tian'an Men Square/Wanfujing Ave?
Considering DongJiaominxiang Hotel at 23A Donjiaominxiang,Dongcheng Dist., are Metro Line 1(Wangfujing) and Line 2(Qianmen) within walking distance and I could actually take subway at Line 2 Beijingzhan(Beijing Railway Station)to this hotel? Also any comment for this hotel?
Other hotels in mind: Day Inn Forbidden City, Fuhao, Dongdan Yindi, Beijing Harmony & Redwall; please advise if possible..email gmail.com|lilysharp

Hi, when you arrive at Tianjin Airport, please take the airport shuttle bus which could drive you to Tianjin Railway Station in 20 minutes. Then, you could catch a bullet train to Beijing within 30 minutes, but the arrival station is Beijing South Railway Station. But, you could take the city-bus Nos.20 or 106 to reach Wangfujing directly.

Well, the hotel has good location that you could walk to Tiananmen in 10 minutes~

Thank you Mr Frankie. Still have questions -
1. Do I catch the city-bus Nos. 20 or 106 from Beijing South Railway Station? When it arrive at Wangfujing (what bus station?), do I have to take another bus or a taxi to DongJiaominxiang Hotel? Which is the closer subway line & stop/s (walking distance!) from this hotel?
2. Beside Tainamen, I will be visting forbidden city and Wangfujing Shopping Centre. So amongst these hotel:DongJiaominxiang Hotel,DayInn Forbidden City, Fuhao Hotel, Beijing Harmony Hotel, Redwall Hotel, Shatan Hotel, which will has the most convenient access, and especially important to get to a subway stop where I will use to travel alot to other further places of interest?

Hi, the Dongjiaominxiang Hotel should have the easit transportation, that in front of the hotel, you could take the subway Line 2 at Chongwenmen Station or Line1 at Tian'anmen Station.

As for the bus, out of the railway station, take the ferry bus from the square to the bus station where you could catch the bus No.629 to arrive at Chongwenmen Xi directly (6 stops). The hotel is not far from this bus station~

if you take 106, please gett off at Ci Qi Kou Bei (9 stops)and then transfer to No.41(2 stops), finally get off at Chongwenmen Xi.

If you take 20, please get off at Da Sha Lan (6 stops)and then take No.729(4 stops), finally arrive at Taijichang Lukou Xi. Walk to the hotel esily.

Hi Mr Frankie, truly appreciate your reply. I’ll be going with another lady, just 2 of us who speak fair Mandarin but do not read Chinese at all, hope you can understand.
Read from TCG website, refer to a Mr Shang blog, and a Beijing map, following are my questions on Dongjiaominxiang Hotel and about getting around :-
1) Don’t see Taijichang Lukou Xi in map, so I assume location of the hotel close to junction of Taijichang Dajie & Dongjiaomin Xiang (between Taijichang Dajie & Chongwenmen Neidajie). If so, Wangfujing Station on Line 1 should be nearer than Tianamen East, cos’ Taijichang Dajie is connecting to Wangfujing walking street across Dongchang’an Jie, right?
2) What is the distance from hotel to Chongwenmen Station, Wangfujing Station and Tianamen East Station? Also distance from any of these hotels: Huafeng, Capital and Novotel Xinqiao?
3) Taking bus 20, get off at Da Sha Lan, is this the same street as Dazhalan Jie (from the map connecting Xianyukou Jie crossing Qianmen Dajie), and also the same as Da Shi Lan street with many old builddings: Nei Lian Sheng - most famous shoemaker, Rui Fu Xiang - most famous dry-goods, and Zhang Yi Yuan - most famous tea shop? If yes, I’ll visit this street, can I walk from Qianmen station, what is the distance?
4) Finally if I decide to take taxi to the hotel, will it be easy to catch one from the Beijing South Train Station and what is the fare?
Thanks!

To Mr Tan,
1. There is no big difference, in fact. There is still a few minutes' walk from Dongjiaominxiang to Taijichang Dajie. The hotel is nearer to the juncture of Dongjiaominxiang and Zhengyi Lu.
2. The hotel is all about 1km or so the the three metro stations. Novotel Hotel is just next to CHongwenmen Station. Huafeng and Capital are near (within 1 km) to Qianmen and Chongwenmen stations.
3. Yes. Bus 20 at Da Zha Lan. Yes, I think they are the same street, but why written differently.

Walk 300 meters along the Qianmendajie to the left to Meishi Jie, then turn right and walk 400 meters to Yangmei Xiejie, 200 meter then turn left, walk within 100 meters to Dazhalan Xijie.
4. If no in rush hour, taxi is easy to get, you should join in a queue to wait. From the south square of Beijing South Railway Station, it cost about 18-20 yuan to the hotel.
