About:Guangzhou Travel Guide

Hi there, I'll be traveling to Guangzhou in July which is like next month. Sad to say that my friends that recently visited there have advised to not go, saying that its not a safe place. I will be coming from Hong Kong to Shenzhen and finally to Guangzhou. So I would like to know if traveling in Shenzhen and Guangzhou is safe or not. And like what are the places that I should avoid; at the same time any good advice anybody would like to share such as good food and shoppong places. I'll be traveling with my wife for 1 day in Shenzhen and 5 days in Guangzhou.Thanks alot...

Hello sir,
Well, for anyone traveling outside should take care of oneself. Guangzhou is ok to stay, my suggestion is avoiding the crowds, such as the railway station, etc. Comparatively, SHenzhen is better in this aspect, you can consider to spend more time in Shenzhen in stead of Guangzhou.
Shopping areas: Dongmen area and Renmin South Rd area in Luohu District; Shangxiajiu, Beijing Road and Tianhe area in Guangzhou
As to the food: Shenzhen: Bagua Road and DOngmen food streets, GUangzhou: Huangshi East Rd, and so on.
