About:China Flight

Our six year old son has a serious allergy to nuts. We must carry an "Epipen" with us in case he eats nuts by accident as he may develop serious breathing problems. (An epipen is an injection device which delivers adrenaline. The device is plastic and contains a needle inside. It comes in a drug store container with a prescription label on it). Canadian airport and airline security allows them aboard the aircraft. Does anyone know about Chinese airline security rules? Do they allow them on board the aircraft? Do we need a letter from his doctor? If yes, would we require a Chinese translation of the letter? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. We are flying round trip between Shanghai and Qingdao through Shanghai Hongqiao and Qingdao airports. From Shanghai to Canada, we are leaving from Pudong Airport.

I think a medical identification or other certificate provided by the doctor is necessary. But you would better consult the airlines and the above-mentioned three airports of China.
