About:Beijing Travel

I am inquiring about the appropriate Visa required for my mother and my sister to visit China for 2-3 weeks in June. They will be staying with my brother who currently lives in China. Should they apply for a Tourist L or G visa? Also, they live in Raleigh, NC. Is there a local consular general office that they can apply for the visa in person?

During their trip, they plan to visit several places within China (Shanghai, Beijing, Hang Zhou, and Guangdong) and then plan to visit Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam.
Do you know which of these countries require visas? Do you have information about this?

Thank you very much for your help. I look forward to your response.

Well, u may have a look at this website's China Visa at: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa.htm
In mainland China, a visa is required. Hong Kong may require none visa for travelers from some appointed countries. See the list here: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/hongkong.htm
Not very sure about other counties.

Ms.lynno, they should apply for tourist visa (L). Raleigh, North Carolina is under the consular jurisdiction of Chinese Embassy in Washington DC, so they need go to the Visa Office of Chinese Embassy in Washington DC to apply for visa.

To my knowledge, citizens of US can visit Hong Kong for up to 90 days without a visa.
