i will be going to harbin from tianjin on 24/25th feb 2010, as faras i have concerned, New Year falls on 14th Feb 2010, will the train be fully booked during my intended travelling day as mentioned above?Or any alternative(website) way that i may pre-book the train ticket in advance?last but not least, please do advise whether it is difficult to travel during the period as mentioned in terms of transportation concerns?

Yes, it is a problem to buy the ticket. Usually, train tickets is sold several day in advance, but people at that time is still very crowded. No official webbsite provides online booking, as I know. You can try at the moment you arrive in Tianjin, or ask help at the hotel. Good Luck.
