About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hong Kong-Guangzhou-Macau

I understand that Hong Kong & Macau are counted are eligible territories for the transit within 240 hours for visa-free travel, but when I take the high speed train at HK West Kowloon station, what do I show as my exit ticket to Macau? I believe the train goes from Guangzhou South station to Zhuhai station, and then from there it's a short walk to the Gongbei Port of Entry, so the train ticket that I would show is still technically a mainland to mainland ticket. Would that be an issue?

Unfortunately, that would be an issue for sure. This is not a solution and is not acceptable when you travel on 240 hour visa free transit. The only solution in this case is to buy a ferry ticket from Shekou port (Shenzhen) to Macau. The line is operated by TurboJet ferry company. I'm sorry for bringing you these unfavorable news, but it is better to be informed and prepared in advance than to be refused to board the train at HK West Kowloon station. I hope this helps.
