About:How to Apply a China Visa in Hong Kong

Physical visa enquiry

I'm UK citizen currently (4th Feb) in Hong Kong and due to be going to Shenzhen China on the 6th of February via fast train from Hong Kong. However I went to buy my ticket today and was asked about my visa but all I was given in the UK when I went to collect my visa was a piece of paper which is just a receipt for the visa!? So I was unable to purchase my ticket and now I'm stuck in Hong Kong without a physical visa even though my application went through fine and on my online account says complete. Has anybody had the same problem and how do I get around this I have one day to get a physical visa please help if you can!!??

You need a visa to Shenzhen by train. Your online account says "complete" may refer to the completion of the online review after you upload you materials, and then you also need to walk in the HK visa center to submit your application and passport and get your visa after days (you can pay for the expedited service for faster processing).

If you are in emergency, you can just apply for the Shenzhen 5-day VOA at Luohu (Lo Wu in HK), Huanggang or Shekou Port at a cost of CNY 130. But Shenzhen VOA only allows you to visit Shenzhen.
