Lina, here we have 2 details that we will discuss about:
1. When you are done with your Zhuhai visit, you cannot travel toward another part of mainland China regardless of the fact that you plan to visit Shenzhen and to apply for a VOA there. This is not allowed. When you are done with your visit to Zhuhai you have to travel to either back to Macau or to Hong Kong. There is no a third option. When you arrive in Macau or Hong Kong you become eligible to enter Shenzhen. So, when using VOAs it is not allowed to travel from one to another part of mainland China.
2. Good detail here is the fact that Indonesian citizens are eligible for 240 hour visa free transit. In other words, if you decide to use it you can travel:
Macau - mainland China (Zhuhai + Shenzhen + many other parts of mainland China) - Hong Kong
As you can see, you can do exactly what you have planned but under VOAs, but under 240 hour visa free transit. In order to be eligible for 240 hour visa free transit you have to do the following:
- Your stay in mainland China (Zhuhai + Shenzhen + maybe some other part/city of mainland China) has to be longer than 24 hours.
- You will have to buy your exit ticket from mainland China to Hong Kong even before you exit from Macau toward mainland China. The best option is to buy a train ticket from Shenzhen to Hong Kong West Kowloon station.
- You can exit from Macau toward mainland China via Hengqin border crossing (southern part of Macau - Cotai area).
- You can take a ferry from Zhuhai to Shenzhen or you can take a train via Guangzhou or some other option.
- When the time comes, you will really have to use exactly that train you have bought your ticket for.
- When you cross from Macau to mainland China on Hengqin border crossing do not make a mistake to apply for Zhuhai VOA. This is not what you plan to do. You will apply for a temporary entry permit that allows you to use 240 hour visa free transit.
