The most important detail is the fact that the citizens of Vietnam have a mixed rate of success in obtaining a Shenzhen 5 day visa on arrival and we usually suggest the to obtain a usual (full) Chinese visa in advance. Never mind, the fact that you have Hong Kong visas definitely increases your chances to be granted a Shenzhen visa on arrival too. In order to do that, I strongly suggest you to check whether the airline you will use to arrive at Hong Kong airport has an agreement with Skypier of Hong Kong airport. That would be ideal because in that way you would skip Hong Kong immigration and head directly to Skypier. From Skypier you would take a ferry to Shekou, port in Shenzhen. When you arrive in Shekou you are practically already in mainland China and the chance that you would be granted a Shenzhen VOA are really very good. Please, check this detail. This route is operated by CKS ferry company. If your airline in not registered with Skypier scheme, you will take a train from HK airport to Hong Kong center and from there you cannot take HSR, but again, the Macau Ferry Terminal (also called Sheung Wan) to Shekou. Why by ferry to Shekou? Because like this you increase your chances to be granted a Shenzhen 5 day visa significantly. The price of a Shenzhen VOA is 130 CNY and once your visit to Shenzhen is over you can return to Hong Kong by taking any border crossing and any mean of transport, high speed train (HSR) included.
