There is no limit on the interval between two entries, and you can reenter for a new visa-free stay. To note that you can stay for a maximum of 90 days in total within any 180-day period.

Thank you for that information. One more question, if I am traveling for business can I stay longer than 30 days at a time? I would like to be able to stay for 6-8 weeks.

Sorry, you can’t. You also need to leave Mainland China temporarily and return for a new 30-day visa-free stay.
