How many entries allowed for UK 30 day visa free pass

Hi, with the new regulations, UK passport holders can visit China without a visa for up to 30 days. Can I go to Hong Kong and then back into China in this same visit using the same visa free pass if it is still within 30 days?

Also, if it is not allowed. When can I visit China again after the first visit and restart a new visa-free 30 days??

There is no limitation on visa-free entries or the interval of two entries, Nick, which means you can enter multiple times. BTW, when you return from HK, you will get a new 30-day, since HK adopt independent immigration policies from Chinese Mainland.
