About:China Visa on Arrival

Hong Kong resident holding Philippine passport

Hi! I am a Hong Kong resident (not PR yet, but have a valid General Employment Policy Visa [GEP] in Hong Kong) and holder of Philippine passport. I plan on going to Shenzhen via Lo Wu port, what are my chances that I can be granted a VOA? I only plan on staying overnight (Saturday to Sunday) to visit a friend.

The citizens of the Philippines are technically eligible for Shenzhen 5 days VOA, but their success record is relatively poor. In any case, you can try, but I would suggest you to obtain a Chinese visa in advance instead.
