About:Beijing Transportation Smart Card

Broken Yikatong card, can I get money back

My Beijing Yikatong card is broken, and I just put 100元 on it the day before it broke. Is it possible to get the money back?

You can get your balance back, but deposit is not refundable in this case. Broken card refund service is offered at the service centers at Dongzhimen Bus Hub and No.45, Fuxingmennei Street, Xicheng District.

You probably forgot to touch the card when you got off from recent bus you took.

You need to visit Bus office I think to fix the problem.

You can also try to get a refund.

Please download Trip Reader NFC App. You can check which bus you took last time. Then you can research for the terminal depot of that bus line.

Trip Reader App can correctly show the bus route number of Beijing City Bus from your card.

You could have forgotten to touch the card when you get on or get off from bus. Or there was an error when you touch the card.

When you ride Beijing City Bus with transportation card;

0 Yuan is deducted from your card when you get on.

1 Yuan is deducted when you get off for short rides. More fares will be deducted when you ride longer.
