Yikatong App is availagle at Apple App Store, or Yingyongbao 应用宝 and some other unreliable-looking download sites.
I recommend a physical transportation card for Beijing travel. I don't recommend QR codes mothods. With QR codes, you need to register every time you visit a new Chinese city. You may encounter errors with QR codes with various causes. It is also going eat up some valuable mobile data. QR codes are good with locals who had experiences with COVID era.0

If you have a phone that support dual SIM, then you can also try using CUBe service. Unicom SIM card, Beijing Pass, and e-CNY is all combined with one SIM card. Also it is called Mifangka 幂方卡.0
