Tiananmen Square and Forbbiden city

I have bought a ticket for the Forbidden City with Viator, and your company is in the ticket to ask questions. My question is: Is the reserve to Tiananmen Square included? For what gate do I have to go to Tiananmen Square if I have bought a ticket for the Forbidden City

No, it's not included. The official advises tourists to reserve Tian'anmen Square if having book the ticket for forbidden city and planning to visit the square also. If you don't go to the square, then you can walk from Donghua Gate to Meridian Gate for check-in.
