Visa for layover

Hi, I have layover at shanghai airport for 32 hours (16 each) before going to AKL and back to MNL and will try to explore shanghai while waiting for my connecting flight. Do I have to secure a chinese visa to do so?

Your routes work for China’s 24h visa free transit policy, so you are not required a visa for the two layovers. You only need to apply for a 24h temporary entry permit upon arrival at Shanghai airport to leave the airport and explore this city.
