Festivals in Sichuan

Hey there, I’ve been trying to find the exact dates and schedule for two festivals so I can book hotels but haven’t been able to find much information for this year. The first festival is the Torch Festival (火把节) in Butuo (布拖县) and the second one is Litang Horse Festival 理塘县“八一”赛马会. I know these festivals can last a few days so I would like to know exactly how many days I should stay for. Thank you in advance!

Sorry, Risa, the exact date and schedule for the two festivals are not available now. The Torch Festival is often held around lunar June 24, that is July 18 this year, and the celebrations usually last for nearly 10 days within Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture. As for Litang Horse Festival, it is celebrated around July 20 and lasts for about 4 days.
