About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit of more than 24 hours

Hello, I am a citizen of Uzbekistan currently in Bangkok, Thailand.
My travel route is from Bangkok Airport to Daxing, and then from Daxing to Vladivostok. However, the airline has rescheduled the flight from May 17 to May 18, and now the layover has increased from 3 hours 20 minutes to 28 hours 20 minutes.
As a citizen of Uzbekistan, am I allowed to stay in China during this layover?

David, you are not allowed to use 24 hour visa free transit because your total transit time exceeds 24 hours. In other words, if you want to retain your itinerary, you will have to obtain a Chinese transit (G) visa in advance at the Chinese visa center or their diplomatic mission in Bangkok. If you try to board the plane in Bangkok you will be denied boarding. If you only you have rejected the offer of the airline that has rescheduled your itinerary for a day. If you do not have time to obtain a Chinese transit (G) visa, I advise you to try to cancel your flight or to re-book / re-schedule it under the more favorable conditions as far as the layover time in China is concerned. I'm sorry for bringing you such unfavorable news.
