About:Do I Need A Visa for Guangzhou If Traveling from Hong Kong?

HK to Guangzhou to HK

I am in HK as a US passport hold. I want to visit GuangZhou without visa. What must I do? Can I take a train HK to GuangZhou Nan then return HK qualify me for a free visa?

You cannot take a train to Guangzhou and go back to HK to get visa-free entry. You need a transit route to be eligible for the 240h visa free transit or you can join a group tour to Guangzhou visa-free. Recommended transit route: HK (ferry or flight) - GZ (get the 10 days) - Macau, then go back to HK from Macau.
