US-HK-Guangzhou-Japan

Hello,

Can I fly from the US to HK for one night then fly to Guangzhou for two nights, then to Tokyo? Will I qualify then for the 240 hrs then?

Yes, you can do that without any problem. I would suggest you to use a train from Hong Kong to Guangzhou because of the price. Taking a train on such a short distance is faster compared to plane and also noticeably cheaper. Take a train from Hong Kong West Kowloon station to Guangzhou (based on your location in Guangzhou you can choose between Guangzhou East and Guangzhou South stations and in majority of cases Guangzhou East is closer to the residential areas). Have a nice visit to China.
