Can I get Shenzhen VOA for Indonesian Passport?

I'm from Indonesia, i'm planning visit HongKong, Shenzhen, and back to hongkong, could i get the Shenzhen VOA? and is there any things i should prepare for apply VOA? for the VOA opening hours is it just from hongkong or if i going back to shenzhen must below 16:30?

Rendi, you do not need to prepare anything special because all the formalities are done at the border crossing. The price of Shenzhen VOA is 130 CNY. If you plan to stay in Shenzhen overnight, it is highly advisable to bring a proof of accommodation booking. After your stay in Shenzhen you are free to return back to Hong Kong at any time and by taking any border crossing. Also, you are allowed to take any mean of transport, high speed train included. In the end I have to warn you that the success rate for Indonesians in obtaining a Shenzhen VOA is of very mixed success, so I would advise you to obtain a Chinese visa in advance in order to avoid any unpleasant surprises at the border crossing.

Okay, so, if i haven’t book the hotel i can still book after i cross border and if i could not cross the border i just go back to hongkong right? Or i just book for 1night just in case i couldn’t cross border

Rendi, hopefully, you will be granted a visa, but if you are rejected, you will have to return back to Hong Kong. It is true that if you have not booked your hotel accommodation, you can do that after you enter Shenzhen, however, you can experience the question about your address in Shenzhen. So, have a hotel of your choice written somewhere, but without a booking, so that you can say where will you stay, but you will really book it after you cross the border. If asked to prove your booking, you will just say that you have done a reservation via a phone and that you will make a formal booking upon arrival there.
