No, you only need to apply for a 24h temporary entry permit upon arrival to leave the airport.

If your total transit time, counted from your first scheduled landing time in China (in your case in Kunming) until your last scheduled departure from China (in your case from Hangzhou) is less than 24 hours long, you do not need any kind of visa because you will be covered by 24 hour visa free transit. Upon your landing in Kunming the first thing that you will do will be to approach the transit counter where you will apply (for free) for a temporary entry permit because your next flight will be a domestic one. One granted a permit, you will head to the immigration and then toward your gate for your flight to Hangzhou. Have a nice flight.
