China 240hrs Transit Visa

I have my plane ticket from Sydney to Hong Kong to Los Angeles. While in Hong Kong, I like to visit Shenzhen and Guangzhou for total 6 days. Can I use the 10 days visa free entry to China from Shenzhen, take the train to Guangzhou and return to Shenzhen, then exit back to Hong Kong within the 10 days limit?

Sorry, you can't because HK - China Mainland - HK is not a eligible transit route but a round trip. But you can adjust it to HK - China Mainland - Macau - HK to make it eligible; also, you need to take a ferry from HK to Shenzhen instead of train and the ticket from China mainland to Macao, usually also a ferry ticket is needed when applying for the 240-h.
