China Visa Free Question

I am traveling from USA my flight goes from the USA to Seoul Korea. I want to visit China for just one day and stay overnight to see the Great Wall of China. I would take a flight from Seoul to Beijing the day after I arrive in Korea. Is this possible with the visa-free transit? I would need to fly back to Seoul to board a cruise ship. The cruise goes on to Japan, Taiwan and Thailand.

Yes, it's possible. If your layover in Beijing is shorter than 24 hours, then you are get a 24h temporary entry permit to leave the airport to see the Great Wall; if longer than 24 hours, then you can apply for the 240h visa free transit to get a much longer stay.
