About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

We are US citizens who will be in Japan for a week. Then we fly to Beijing for two days and travel t

we are US citizens who will be in Japan for five days. then traveling by air to Beijing for 2 days, train to Shanghai for 6 days, then flying into Vietnam. Do we still need a form for China even though it’s less than 240 hours?

Yes, you need to apply for the 240h visa free transit at Beijing Airport.
