Visa needed for a US citizen traveling to Shenzhen for a day from Hong Kong and returning back HK?

Hi, is a visa required for a US citizen traveling into Shenzhen for a 10 hour visit coming from Hong Kong (by train) and leaving to go back to Hong Kong (by train) after the 10 hour visit in Shenzhen?

US citizens need a Shenzhen visa on arrival which can be applied at Shekou, Huanggang and Luohu Port at a cost of CNY130.
