Bejing to Moscow

Is it possible to go from Bejing to Moscow with the following route and if yes what booking method would you recommend?
Beijing - Hohhot, Hohhot - Ulaanbataar, Ulaanbataar - Ulan Ude, Ulan Ude - Moscow

It's possible but you may need train transfers from Ulan Ude to Moscow. You can buy Beijing - Hohhot train ticket on the official site 12306.com or book with TravelChinaGuide hassle-free on this page: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/
For Hohhot - Ulaanbataar train ticket, you can only buy it at Hohhot railway station upon arrival by presenting your passport.
For trains in Mongolia and Russia, you need to buy the ticket on the related official railway sites.
