Chengdu Airport 3 hours Stopover

Hello.

I'm a portuguese citizen passport who has a flight from Rome - Chengdu / Chengdu - Bangkok, that is planed a 3 hours layover in China.

Have I to apply for some type of section to be able for 24 hour transit visa, or can I just go there with my flight ticket and Portugal valid passport?

Paulo, the first and the most important detail is that you as a Portuguese citizen, can enter, transit, stay and explore China absolutely visa free for up to 15 days. In other words, you should not bother yourself about the terminology and visa free stuff. You will be just shortly in China in transit, so you will just walk from one to the other gate and you do not need to perform any formality and you do not need to fill out any form. Also, you will not be a subject of customs or immigration control. Your passport and the boarding pass is all you need. Have a nice journey.
