Harys, current price of the visa is 130 CNY that should be paid by a credit card right at the border crossing, but it is impossible to predict whether the price will change with the beginning of 2025. Current price of 130 CNY is guaranteed until the end of this year.
The processing time is relatively short, roughly 20 - 30 minutes when you hand over your passport and the filled out form that you will encounter at the visa office of the border crossing. However, you have to count on some queue that will be inevitable.
The best time to apply for VOA is to arrive before the opening hour of visa office at Luohu border crossing. Visa office opens at 09:00, but you should be there the latest at 08:30.
Indonesian citizens currently have a very good success record in granting a Shenzhen visa. You should have in mind that with a Shenzhen visa in your passport you are allowed to move just within Shenzhen city limits. As far as your return from Shenzhen back to Hong Kong is concerned, you do not have to go through Luohu border crossing, but you can take any border crossing and any mean of transport, high speed train included.
